My new ukulele ^^
♪ ♪ Music is the new language ♪ ♫ ♪ is a collection of videos which record my progress through self-learning and practice from ukulele lessons. There are tons of YouTube videos that teach how to play this instrument. So many of them are very easy to learn and follow even if you have absolutely no background in music. You only need to grab your ukulele and work on it EVERYDAY. Just remember that practice and repetition is crucial for building good muscle memory.

When I started, I was an absolute beginner, meaning never before in my life I had played or even owned any musical instrument until I received this brand new ukulele from my brother in June 2018. He is, by the way, a talented music teacher who has never given me a music lesson-- simply because he is too busy in his career and also we get to see each other only once a year.

Anyway, at the age of 37, I am overly happy to begin the journey to my musical dreams. I find learning a musical instrument quite similar to learning a language, because music itself can be regarded as a language*. Both require commitment and patience as it takes hours to start... and years to master. That's why I call this album ♪ ♪ Music is the new language ♪ ♫ ♪. If no one is too old to learn a language, it's also never too late to start learning an instrument, right?

P.S. In my videos, you can probably hear and see a lot of mistakes, and that's the main idea of making these videos because I can see those mistakes too and I can move on to fix them. So, in the beginning, most of the videos are not going to be complete or perfect, but hopefully someday I'll be able to confidently finish a whole song. Let's see, shall we? ^_^
